Making Money On The Internet Without A Website Or Product Of Your Own

Author:Paul Ranger

You’re anxious about making money on the web as soon as possible, but You don’t have a website of your own, and you have no clue what you are going to sell. Have no fear.  Thanks to affiliate marketing you can still take part in the ever-expanding e-commerce world and make a nice living even if you don’t have a website or a product.  With affiliate marketing you will have both.

What is Affiliate Marketing?
Simply put, Affiliate Marketing is taking another Company’s (Affiliate site) product and/or service and promote it as if it is your own. The company then pays you a commission when the customer you’ve directed to their website makes a purchase. The good things about this type of marketing are these, you do not have to stock or store products, some products are delivered instantly to the customer through downloads, and you don’t have to have a website to profit from this.

How do you get paid?
When you join an affiliate program thy will give you a unique code that identifies you. You are the only one with that code. This code is embedded in the link that you use to send traffic to that site.  When the prospect clicks on your ad or link and goes to the affiliate website, that code goes with them and when they make a purchase you are credited with the sale.

You don’t have a website?
Marketers with their own websites place links on their pages (Among other marketing techniques) to the affiliate sites.  You can bypass the no website roadblock by employing a few methods.

Pay Per Click (PPC)
Even though you have to pay each time someone clicks on your ad, ppc ads are a very good way to generate high quality traffic to your affiliate site.  People go to pay per click search engines like, Google.com, and FindWhat.com (Google.com and FindWhat.com are two of the search engines that will allow you to place ads with them which directs customer to a website not owned by you.) to search for the products they need, and they click on your ad because they see what they’re looking for, it makes those prospects high quality traffic.  You don’t go to them they come to you.  They are already looking for your product. However you must be careful in how you approach this or it could cost you more than you will make.  You need to learn how to do this correctly.

E-zine ads
Running ads in on-line magazines commonly called e-zines are another good source of traffic for your affiliate site. Make sure you advertise in one that is related to the product you are marketing. You could advertise for as little as $10.00 depending on the e-zine.  Some cost more.  You have to do your research and find the one that is suited for your budget.

Writing Free Articles
Another option is writing articles for those e-zines for free. You supply them with content and in the bottom of the article you will put your resource box with links to the affiliate site.
However there is a down side to this. People can simply remove your affiliate code and cheat you out of your commissions. There is a way around this though. you can employ the services of  namestick. They will allow you to get around this problem.

Educate Yourself
Affiliate marketing is nothing new on the web.  Some have tried it and have failed mainly because their technique was off target. You can make a lot of money through affiliate marketing but you must educate yourself on how to promote your chosen affiliate program, and then put it into action.  There are books on the subject of affiliate marketing and books about marketing on the Internet in general, most of which will cost less than tuition or cost per credit at your favorite university. Those who have made money through this online method obviously should be your mentors. This advice may sound like an insult to your intelligence, but many people approach marketing on the Internet as if they are playing the lottery and as we all know, success from the lottery depends on dumb luck. This article isn’t long enough neither can it provide the fine details on any marketing approach mentioned here, or else it would not be an article it would be a book.
